Here are the highlights from our week.
This week we:
Had a fun Virtual Morning Meeting with all our students both at home and in school
Started a new unit on nonfiction texts
Learned that baby animals are similar but not exactly like their parents
Counted to high numbers with counting strips
Added the ng family to our spelling and phonics work
Next week we will:
Learn how nonfiction text features help the reader understand
Learn the differences between fiction and nonfiction texts
Start a new writing unit - a nonfiction piece on a favorite animal
Learn that animals have traits that help them survive
Recognize and write 3 digit numbers
Use patterns in the 120 chart to help us solve problems
