First Cochran's Adventure of the Year and More!

This week was full of adventures!  We had our first trip of the year to Cochran’s and learned many new things!

Here are the highlights from our week.

We learned:

  • To use an uppercase letter at the beginning of a sentence and end it with punctuation

  • Look for the author’s main point in a text

  • Learned about comparisons and how they help the reader understand

  • To use nonstandard measurement tools

  • To compare items by length and find the difference

  • Added the trick words by, my, try and why to our word wall

Next week we will:

  • Continue to work on sentence structure and adding details

  • Select and animal and start our research project

  • Learn more about telling time and add time to the ½ hour

  • Celebrate the 100th Day of School on 2/2/22

  • Start our math unit on basic fractions

  • Work on making our voices sound smooth when we read
