Word Work!

First Graders are really getting the hang of our routines! Today we used our letter magnet boards for the first time! Our learners were amazing. They put the letters in ABC order in record time and started building words! I love how our group has come together and takes such  great care of our classroom supplies!

Dairy in the Classroom

Today our first graders got a chance to learn all about milk makers with our Dairy in the Classroom Program.  Miss Virginia will visit our school 5 times. Each time she will teach us about a different kind of farm. We learned that cows and goats produce milk not only for their babies, for us too! We learned that cows and goats have 4 stomachs and that helps them process their food. Then we got a chance to make butter!  Delicious!
Ask your child what is the cow that makes the most milk?  If they get that one, ask them what kind of cow makes the creamiest milk!
